Extension of Armamentarium for Prevention of Sub-optimal Outcomes

Endodontics is at a critical juncture. The implementation of new techniques and technologies must be balanced with the knowledge of previous generations of endodontics. Are our techniques as good as we think they are?

How effective can our obturation be if we have failed to debride the root canal system with our instrumentation and irrigation techniques.

This presentation will center on guidelines to assist in determining which instruments are appropriate for our clinical situation. We will assess existing instrument configurations and preview proposed improvements in metallurgy and endodontic instrument designs.

At the conclusion of this course, attendees will be able to accurately assess their ability to prepare and debride root canal systems. Heavy emphasis will be placed on convenience form of debridement of the root canal system.
