Title: Contemporary Posterior Composite Dentistry-The End of the GV Black Era

Minimally invasive dentistry is a very hot topic but where is the science? How can the entire dental team create the optimal patient experience and ethical dental practice? Posterior composites are still a struggle for many clinicians with some studies showing a 50% higher failure rate than for amalgam, and post-operative sensitivity is common. WE CAN DO MUCH BETTER! Dr. Clark will share the new findings and techniques for these procedures, developed in conjunction with high level magnification. A wealth of tricks, tools and techniques will be shared in this fast paced and entertaining lecture. Generations of resin materials are currently utilized without clear consensus of superiority. Dr. Clark will share the new findings for these materials and give straight forward advice for bonding systems, sealants, flowables and paste composites Photography and video captured through the operating microscope will be projected in 3-D as viewers watch with special glasses.

Highlights:
  • The nine fatal flaws of traditional sealants
  • Preventive resin restorations for the new millennium
  • Why traditional cavity preparations are predisposing posterior teeth to fracture
  • Ultraconservative preparations and how to restore them with all the new toys
  • The new Clark Class II
  • Reducing post-operative sensitivity
  • Rock solid interproximal contacts
  • Diastema closure and papilla regeneration made simple
  • Injection Molding and Snow Plow techniques for composite dentistry
  • Predictability, pride and peace of mind for resin dentistry!

Faster Prettier Composites-Workshop

Participants will have the opportunity to perform minimally traumatic preparations and direct class II composites restorations utilizing the Bioclear tm matrix systems and 3M Filtek Supreme tm flowable and paste composites. Participants will receive a complimentary bur kit including Fissurotomy tm   burs, composites, and matrix systems. Participants may think twice about buying an in office Cad Cam porcelain system after seeing the possibilities in this renaissance in direct composites.

Course Contents:
  • Ultraconservative preparations and how to restore them with all the new toys. Multiple matrices, wedges and separators will be provided to evaluate strengths and weaknesses
  • The new Clark Class II
  • Reducing post-operative sensitivity
  • Rock solid interproximal contacts
  • Diastema closure and papilla regeneration made simple
  • Injection Molding and Snow Plow techniques for composite dentistry
  • Predictability, pride and peace of mind for resin dentistry!
